One of the Best Affiliate Networks for Bloggers: ShareASale

  • by

This ShareaSale review includes my personal experience as well as an objective assessment of whether or not this affiliate network is a good way for bloggers to make money.

What is affiliate marketing and how does it benefit you?

Bloggers can make money through affiliate marketing. In a nutshell, it entails promoting products on your blog in exchange for a commission if someone purchases through your affiliate link.

I wrote a complete beginner’s guide to affiliate marketing if you want to learn more about the fundamentals of the industry.

You can find affiliate programs to join and promote on your blog if you blog about fashion, travel, beauty, lifestyle, crafting, finance, business, etc.

Joining an affiliate network is even better than joining individual affiliate programs because it gives you access to thousands of affiliate programs in one location.

SHAREASALE: WHAT IS IT?

ShareaSale is an affiliate network, which means you’ll have access to thousands of different affiliate programs once you sign up. (Currently, ShareaSale’s network includes over 3,900 brands.) They’re one of the most well-known affiliate networks, and almost every major blogger is a member.

Signing up and participating in their network of affiliate programs is completely free.

ShareaSale is fantastic because it’s so simple to get started and they have such a large selection of brands. Many of the programs also include banners and graphics to help you promote them on your blog and social media.

They’ll even send you a quarterly affiliate catalog with seasonal brands and content ideas for you to promote on your blog.

For many years, I’ve been an affiliate with ShareaSale, and they’ve consistently been my favorite and most profitable affiliate network. I don’t work with any other affiliate networks any longer.

Some of the reasons why I enjoy working with ShareaSale are as follows:

  • PROGRAMS FOR HIGH COMMISSION

Many affiliate programs at ShareaSale pay out extremely high commissions. Many of the programs in which I participate pay a generous 30% to 50% commission on all sales made through your affiliate link.

  • ADVERTISEMENTS WHICH HAVE BEEN SPONSORED

A large number of ShareaSale merchants provide sponsored posts for bloggers, which is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You’ll be paid a flat rate for the article, plus any affiliate commissions you earn!

Here are a few ShareaSale brands that might be interested in sponsoring posts:

The Runway is Available for Rent

Adidas is a sportswear company that produces

Dollar Tree is a store that sells inexpensive items

Handmade

Warby Parker is a fashion house that specializes in high

Correctly spelled

  • SAMPLES ARE SENT.

Many of the brands in the ShareaSale network will send free samples to bloggers to use in their reviews! One of the most effective ways to promote your affiliate links is to have reviews written about them.

Free samples are available from the following brands on ShareaSale:

Box of beans

Five vitamin supplements

Handmade

Box 5 of Make-up

Julep is a popular drink in the United Kingdom.

Month-by-Month Wine Club

  • PROGRAMS PAYING FOR EACH LEAD

In order for you to earn a commission with most affiliate programs, someone must make a purchase using your affiliate link. If someone clicks your link and signs up for a free trial, subscribes to an email list, etc., you will earn a (smaller) commission with pay per lead programs.

In other words, you’re getting paid for someone to do something that is completely free!

In ShareaSale, there are a number of excellent pay-per-lead programs:

$0.50 per lead with Tailwind (a Pinterest scheduling tool).

(Free online classes; $1 per lead) Creative Live

Grammarly is a free grammar checker that charges $0.20 per lead.

My App Builder ($10 per lead) is an app development software.

$0.50 per lead for Warby Parker (an eyeglasses company)

Freshbooks ($5 per lead) is a cloud-based accounting program.

Minted ($1 per lead) is an online marketplace.

ARE THERE ANY DISCRIMINATORY FACTORS WITH SHAREASALE?

To be completely honest, there are two aspects of the ShareaSale platform that I absolutely despise:

Their design is outdated and clumsy. (It appears to have not been updated in at least 15 years!) As a result, getting to know the navigation and figuring out where everything is on their site takes some time.

A $50 minimum bet is required. It may take a while for newer bloggers to reach the minimum requirement. As a new blogger, it took me about two months to hit the $50 threshold. However, this is still less than some other affiliate networks’ minimum payouts, which can be as high as $100.

These are the only real concerns I have with ShareaSale; aside from that, they are without a doubt my favorite and most profitable affiliate network!
